The 296 GTB’s performance can be further boosted by the Assetto Fiorano set-up, equipped with aerodynamic and weight reduction features, including the Multimatic dampers derived from GT racing with fixed settings optimised for track use, the high-load carbon-fibre aids on the front bumper, and the extensive use of lightweight materials on interiors and exteriors. The structure of some components, including the door panel, has been totally redesigned to save more than 12 kg. Finally, in addition to the optional rear screen in ultra-light Lexan®, the Assetto Fiorano set-up also features an optional livery inspired by the 250 LM. This starts with the front bumper whose background embraces the central grille and outlines its contours, continuing first on the bonnet and then longitudinally up to the roof and rear spoiler.
